Keeping Your Parents' Spirits Up

Every year around this time I notice my mother seems a bit down. Do you have any suggestions to keep her spirits up?


Depressed feelings are not uncommon this time of year, or as we grow older & experience a growing number of losses in our life. Here are some tips: Invite her to social functions, get her involved in volunteer work, find ways to get exercise, sunshine, & a sense of PURPOSE into her life. Consider talking to her doctor or having a companion drop by for a friendly visit.
